Job summary

Opaa! Food Management seeks a Director of Nutrition Services to lead the school district’s child nutrition program, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while coordinating kitchen operations, production, and meal service across sites.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong stakeholder engagement with district leadership, and a commitment to Opaa!’s core values and HACCP standards to deliver safe, nutritious meals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED minimally required per Education section.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant food service experience or 1 year with an associate’s degree.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Observe and ensure seamless production in kitchens, including quality, safety, and HACCP compliance.
• Manage cost per meal parameters, labor, and supplies for each kitchen.
• Lead staff meetings, supervise personnel, hire and onboard direct reports, and ensure HR compliance.
• Coordinate daily meal transportation to satellite buildings and ensure menu adherence.
• Maintain inventory, records, and regulatory compliance; prepare monthly reports and dashboards.
