Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking a Director of Nutrition Services to lead a school district’s child nutrition program in Arkansas. The role oversees kitchen teams, ensures compliance with Opaa! and state regulations, and acts as the liaison between Opaa! and the district.

You will drive daily operations, maintain records, manage costs, and promote excellent customer service while aligning with Opaa!'s core values. This is a senior position in a dynamic educational context.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; transcript may be requested.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant food service experience or 1 year with an associate’s degree.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computing.
• Able to read, interpret and write simple correspondence and memos.
• Able to adjust recipes and manage kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production across school kitchens and HACCP compliance.
• Maintain production records and verify reimbursable meals per district guidelines.
• Monitor portion control, food quality, safety, and sanitation.
• Manage labor and food costs per MPLH and budgets.
• Lead staff through shifts, huddles, and weekly meetings.
• Coordinate meal transport to satellite buildings when required.
• Ensure menu adherence and maintain kitchen organization.
