Job summary

Weichert Co. in Morris Plains, NJ seeks an Associate Services Director/Sales Compensation and Commissions Director to lead end-to-end processing, compliance, and distribution of residential real estate commissions on Broker Sumo.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of progressive management experience in compensation, payables, billing, or customer service within a sales-driven environment required
• New Jersey real estate license preferred
• Experience leading system implementations or change management initiatives preferred

Responsibilities

• Leads daily operations to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all sales associate compensation activity.
• Coaches and develops supervisors and team members; sets clear expectations, monitors performance, conducts annual reviews, and takes formal disciplinary actions as required.
• Reviews and approves department timesheets and paid time off.
• Makes decisions on policy exceptions and escalated issues, balancing associate experience, company policy, and financial controls.
• Partners with Business Operations to ensure Processing Managers are knowledgeable on departmental functions and procedures.
• Maintains working knowledge for coverage of all departmental functions, including escrow processing, compensation, commissions processing, associate benefits, and licensing.
• Broker Sumo Management: Configures, maintains and optimizes the platform to automate split management, teams, compensation, and recurring agent billing.
• Oversees the processing of all variations of commission transactions, ensuring compliance and accuracy within Broker Sumo.
• Subject-matter expert on sales associate commission administration; primary contact for commission questions, issues, software, and procedures.
• Delivers consultative support to senior leadership on commission issues, plan development, and analytics, including custom plan design.
• Delivers special request and ad hoc reporting to management.
• Advises senior leadership on initiatives with Marketing, IT, and Cash Management during implementations.
• Oversee initiatives and programs including Refer & Earn, Recruit and Retention, and Ecommission loans.
• Verifies Refer & Earn leads for accuracy.
• Acts as NTN vendor relationship contact, coordinating field training as needed.
• Identifies and reports system issues, requests enhancements, and manages tickets with Broker Sumo and IT.
• Oversees large-scale billings (NJ license renewal, E&O, plan fees).
• Manages direct deposit, credit card collections, and payment activity in Broker Sumo and Payment Center.
• Investigates credit card disputes and approves 1099 data for tax reporting.
• Reviews, approves, and sets up LLC payments; maintains business account security.
• Approves licensing payments in Concur and vendor setup approvals.
