Job summary

Ingram Micro Inc. is seeking a Manager of Release Management to lead a team responsible for safe, predictable software delivery across the Xvantage platform. You will oversee release governance, automation initiatives, and stakeholder communication.

You will guide a distributed team, champion progressive delivery, and align release practices with SOX and internal controls while partnering with engineering, QA, and operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in release, deployment or change management within large-scale enterprise software or e-commerce.
• 3+ years of direct people management with evidence of improving team capability.
• Deep knowledge of ITIL change management, risk classification, CAB processes and audits.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tooling and pipelines; capable of challenging deployment plans.
• Experience running production releases with meaningful business impact.
• Ability to hold a release gate closed under pressure from stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to brief executives during incidents.
• Preferred: progressive delivery, ServiceNow, IaC, and multi-time zone leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of release engineers and coordinators, set standards, and develop people.
• Own the production release calendar end to end, including go/no-go decisions.
• Drive automation to reduce deployment duration and manual effort.
• Manage change with SOX compliance and audit evidence; maintain governance.
• Communicate release scope and risks clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Coordinate cross-team and third-party dependencies ahead of each release window.
