Job summary

Verana Health, a digital health company, is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Business Development in San Francisco to lead multi-year RWE/RWD deals. You will drive revenue at the executive level, crafting end-to-end solutions for Life Sciences, pharma, and CRO clients.

You will report to the Senior VP, build a large book of business, and collaborate with product and data teams to deliver tailored data offerings. This role follows a hybrid model with some in-office days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of sales experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, and CRO sectors.
• Deep knowledge of Real-World Data (RWD) and Real-World Evidence (RWE).
• Entrepreneurial 'hunter' mentality with proven quota attainment.
• Strong executive credibility and business acumen for senior-level engagements.

Responsibilities

• Drive large, multi-year RWE and Real-World Data revenue growth and exceed targets.
• Lead consultative deals, coordinate RFI/RFP responses, and craft proposals and SOWs.
• Build deep executive relationships across assigned accounts as a trusted partner.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Operations to align offerings with client needs.
• Maintain a rigorous sales funnel and provide data-driven forecasts to leadership.
