Job summary

Cruxx in Central New Jersey is seeking a software leader to own the navigation platform, real-time vision and registration pipeline, and AI models that underpin a surgical system.

You will inherit a small team, guide architecture from prototype to product, ensure IEC 62304 compliance, and partner with hardware, regulatory, and clinical teams to ship a device that clears regulators and serves hundreds of operating rooms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 3+ years leading a shipping team.
• Deep fluency in modern C++ and Python.
• Experience with real-time or embedded systems.
• Experience in regulated lifecycles (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, DO-178C, ISO 26262 or similar).

Responsibilities

• Define software platform architecture from prototype to maintainable product.
• Plan, prioritize, and ship against a fixed clinical and regulatory timeline.
• Ensure engineering quality in regulated settings: code reviews, testing, traceability, lifecycle.
