Current Surgical Inc. in San Francisco seeks a lead software engineer to own the software direction for our clinical prototype.

You will design, develop, and test infrastructure coordinating communication between hardware devices, sustaining high-performance data and image processing, and delivering a responsive user interface. Qualifications

• 8+ years building complex systems software; ownership of architecture of multi-device data-intensive or real-time system
• Mentor or lead engineers; willing to continue doing so
• Proficiency in Python, depth in at least one systems language (C/C++/Rust)
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated; strong technical and analytical communication
• Willingness to work within regulated medical software quality lifecycle

Responsibilities

• Architect software for the clinical prototype, coordinating hardware devices and real-time data processing
• Lead and grow the software team; collaborate with clinicians and other engineers
• Define and enforce architecture decisions with a focus on robust, testable software
