Digital Federal Credit Union is seeking an seasoned engineering leader to drive cross-functional teams responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex systems software that underpins enterprise technology platforms.

The role focuses on technical direction, disciplined engineering practices, and partnering with product, infrastructure, and business groups to translate needs into clear plans. Location includes Marlborough/Chelmsford, MA and Hillsboro, OR.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant engineering experience with 4+ years in people leadership.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of Quality Engineering practices, CI/CD, and modern test tooling.
Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Ability to mentor engineering managers and grow technical talent.

Responsibilities

Lead multiple engineering teams in the design, development, and enhancement of systems software.
Set technical direction and architectural standards for major initiatives.
Ensure disciplined software lifecycle practices from design to maintenance.
Translate organizational needs into clear technical plans and prioritized backlogs.
Identify risks, performance issues, and dependencies affecting delivery.
Coach engineers and foster a strong engineering culture.
Plan delivery and coordinate cross-team initiatives for platform enhancements.
Drive continuous improvement through tooling and process optimization.
