Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Public Safety and Security Manager for the Wilmington Convention Center. The role oversees all safety, security personnel, and emergency preparedness to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff during events.

You will manage security systems, patrol operations, and collaboration with law enforcement, fire, and EMS. The position reports to the Director of Operations and is based on-site in Wilmington.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of safety/security supervisory experience in large venues or facilities.
• Ability to coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public safety and security plans for events.
• Schedule and supervise security personnel across shifts.
• Conduct patrols, investigate incidents, and document findings.
• Oversee access control, CCTV, badges, and security systems.
• Lead safety training and drills for staff.
• Coordinate with event managers for staffing and safety.
• Serve as Manager on Duty as assigned.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate security personnel.
