Job summary

Legends in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a Public Safety and Security Manager to oversee all safety operations at the Wilmington Convention Center. You will supervise security personnel, coordinate emergency response, and ensure compliance with life-safety regulations, while supporting guest experiences and event execution.

Responsibilities include developing safety plans, managing access control and CCTV, leading the safety team, and collaborating with local agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years safety/security experience in a supervisory role.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public safety plans for events based on risk assessments.
• Schedule, supervise, and direct security personnel.
• Conduct patrols, investigate incidents, monitor crowd flow and access control.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement and EMS.
• Lead safety team meetings and develop policies to improve safety.
