Job summary

Witt O'Brien's, a leading national provider of government procurement services, seeks a Director of Proposals to lead a dispersed team in creating compliant, compelling proposals for local, state, and federal opportunities.

You will coordinate with capture managers, practice leaders, and SMEs, ensuring high-quality submissions and strategic win themes. Remote work with travel 10–20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proposal writing and management experience with at least 5 years in people leadership.
• Experience with U.S. Federal, state, and local government procurement processes.
• Ability to coordinate input from proposal team, business leaders, and executives to create compliant responses.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Proposal Team to develop complex, winning proposals for government opportunities.
• Ensure rigorous quality controls, compelling storytelling, and clear visuals in submissions.
• Collaborate with capture managers, practice leaders, and technical SMEs throughout the lifecycle.
• Mentor and grow a diverse proposal team and coach in oral presentations and BAFOs.
