The Role

We’re seeking a Founding Head of Product & Engineering to join the executive team and lead end-to-end product development. This is a senior, U.S.-based position with functional co-founder responsibilities. You’ll work directly with the CEO to own strategy, execution, and delivery across the product and technical stack.

This is a high-impact role for a builder who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to directly shape the next category-defining company in healthcare AI.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product roadmap focused on denial recovery automation and appeals
• Build and lead the engineering function: AI pipelines, data infrastructure, application layers
• Collaborate with the CEO, domain experts, and customers to prioritize high-ROI product features
• Operationalize agent workflows using tools like Python, LangChain, GCP, and open-source LLM stacks
• Drive a fast-paced, iterative development culture with strong technical standards
• Translate complex payer-provider workflows into scalable automation that delivers measurable results

Ideal Experience

• Prior experience as a founding engineer, early Head of Product, or technical lead in a venture-backed startup
• Strong technical foundation in data-driven automation, AI, or healthtech infrastructure
• Experience working with healthcare claims (835/837), denials, or revenue cycle data is highly preferred
• Familiarity with modern ML/AI stacks and practical experience deploying LLM-based tools in production
• Comfortable owning cross-functional execution across product, engineering, and operations
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to operate independently in a remote-first environment
