Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Communication

  • Serve as the central coordinator for more than 80 annual rate and form changes, managing timelines and ensuring alignment across actuarial, product, IT, marketing, underwriting, and third-party capacity partners.
  • Own internal and external communications related to product and rate changes, including broker notifications and regulatory disclosures.
  • Drive implementation efforts post-approval through system integrations and change management protocols.

Compliance Oversight

  • Track regulatory developments across all 50 states using resources such as APCIA, ISO circulars, AIG regulatory updates, and internal bulletins.

  • Maintain and monitor a compliance tracker with weekly and monthly regulatory reviews; flag actionable items and ensure implementation through stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate responses to data calls and recurring regulatory reports (e.g., CT Mods, FL Premium Tax Credit).
  • Own documentation and communication of regulatory changes to Claims, IT, Underwriting, and Legal as applicable.

Product Development

  • Lead state-by-state product rewrite efforts for core lines (homeowners and excess liability), revising base forms and amendatory endorsements to meet legal and business standards.
  • Collaborate with Legal to finalize language while leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to improve drafting efficiency and clarity.
  • Develop and maintain a standardized template library across all lines of business, including manuscript endorsements and collection forms.
  • Respond to underwriter requests for new or revised manuscript endorsements via the Product Help Desk.
  • Draft and revise language for legal clarity and business intent, route for legal approval, and communicate final drafts to requestors.
  • Maintain version control and standardization across endorsement libraries and update quarterly as needed.

System & Implementation Oversight

  • Serve as product lead during system transitions and enhancements.
  • Ensure successful implementation of rate and form changes across internal platforms and validate configurations in production environments.

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in product development, compliance, or insurance regulatory affairs in Personal Lines insurance.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. insurance regulatory environment and demonstrated ability to interpret and act upon state-level requirements.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to translate technical and legal language into clear business communications.
  • Proficiency working with legal, actuarial, underwriting, and IT teams to coordinate filings and implementations.
  • Familiarity with rate, rule, and form filing processes, including SERFF, and experience responding to DOI objections.
  • Experience with manuscript endorsement development, product form drafting, and policyholder disclosure materials.
  • Working knowledge of insurance rating systems and policy administration platforms.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple jurisdictions.
