The New Jersey Innovation Authority seeks a Director of Product to co‑lead the product management team and advance the practice within the office. You will empower product managers to lead their teams effectively, champion product excellence, oversee staffing, and mentor a diverse, talented group while contributing to project work.

Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer and working with design, engineering, and content teams, you will drive user impact, iterative development, and governance,

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years in agile product management.
• At least 2 years in people management and leadership.
• Experience guiding end‑to‑end product development from concept to launch.
• Proven ability to mentor product managers.
• Roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with cross‑functional teams.
• Commitment to inclusive, accessible public service.

Aufgaben

• Lead product practice leadership and promote standards.
• Oversee staffing, onboarding, and performance development.
• Assess new project opportunities and drive project intake.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, and content teams.
• Mentor and coach product managers with regular one‑on‑ones.
• Apply human‑centered design, data‑driven decisions and agile methods.
• Build capacity for state‑wide product thinking and roadmaps.
• Fulfill additional duties to advance NJIA's mission.
