Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Procurement Program Director to lead procurement teams on large EPCM Data Center projects and oversee procurement strategy and execution across the project lifecycle. The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, supplier management, and risk mitigation to ensure safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

The candidate will supervise procurement professionals, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and report to Operations Leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• 15+ years of procurement, purchasing, subcontract administration, supplier quality, expediting and materials management experience in EPCM/EPC/large capital projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading procurement professionals and managers.
• Strong communication and client interfacing skills.
• Experience supporting large capital projects from planning through closeout.
• Understanding of EPCM project delivery and procurement's role in cost/schedule/quality objectives.
• Experience with complex industrial, advanced manufacturing, data center, semiconductor, life sciences, or mission-critical facility projects.
• Knowledge of global supply management, contracting, procurement strategy, and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of procurement professionals supporting a large EPCM Data Center project.
• Provide strategic oversight of procurement operations on large Data Center projects.
• Serve as Project Procurement Manager for large, complex capital projects when required.
• Develop and execute project procurement strategies aligned with client objectives and project plans.
• Drive procurement performance through subcontract administration, purchasing, supplier management, expediting, and quality surveillance.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with contracts, procedures, project controls, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, construction, commercial, and operations teams to deliver projects.
• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, and supplier relationship management to reduce procurement risk.
• Monitor procurement metrics related to cost savings, schedule, supplier performance, risk, and quality.
• Identify supply constraints, long-lead equipment risks, and market challenges for large capital projects.
• Support pursuits, proposals, procurement estimates, execution strategies, and client presentations as needed.
• Champion data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
