Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Procurement Program Director to lead and develop procurement teams for large EPCM Data Center projects. You will oversee procurement strategy, subcontract management, supplier quality, expediting, and materials management to ensure safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

The role requires 15+ years in procurement within EPCM/large capital environments, with strong leadership and client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• 15+ years of procurement, purchasing, subcontract administration, supplier quality, expediting and materials management within EPCM or large capital projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading procurement professionals and managers.
• Strong communication skills and interfacing with client.
• Proven experience supporting large capital projects from planning through execution and closeout.
• Understanding of EPCM project delivery models and procurement's role in cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Experience managing procurement for complex industrial, advanced manufacturing, data center, semiconductor, life sciences, or mission-critical facility projects.
• Knowledge of global supply management, contracting, procurement strategy, and supplier management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders across projects and locations.
• Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of procurement professionals on a large EPCM Data Center project.
• Provide strategic oversight of procurement operations on large Data Center projects.
• Serve as Project Procurement Manager for large, complex capital projects when required.
• Develop and execute project procurement strategies aligned with client objectives and project plans.
• Drive procurement performance through subcontract administration, purchasing, supplier management, expediting, quality surveillance, and field material control.
• Ensure procurement activities adhere to contracts, procedures, project controls, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, construction, commercial, and operations teams to support delivery.
• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, and supplier relationship management to reduce procurement risk.
• Monitor procurement metrics related to cost savings, schedule, supplier performance, risk, and quality.
• Identify and address supply constraints, long-lead equipment risks, and market challenges on large projects.
• Support project pursuits, proposals, procurement estimates, execution strategies, and client presentations when required.
• Champion data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
