Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Director of Technical Operations to lead the health, stability, and continuous improvement of its Human Health eCommerce and Portal ecosystem. You will collaborate with Software Engineering, Infrastructure/Cloud, Security, and program leadership to ensure reliable production operations and measurable KPIs.

The role drives observability, resilience, connectivity, and availability while identifying risks and modernization opportunities in a hybrid on‑prem and Microsoft Azure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS/CE/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in platform/infra engineering or similar.
• 5+ years in management.
• Experience leading ops for customer-facing digital apps (eCommerce/portals preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and incident response across distributed systems.
• Hybrid on-prem and Azure experience.
• Knowledge of Java/JS frameworks, databases, monitoring, CI/CD, and security/APIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical leadership for application support and complex troubleshooting.
• Lead incident management, RCA, and post-mortems.
• Drive CAPAs and track operational KPIs and tech debt.
• Collaborate with developers, TPMs, and PMOs to align operational work with releases and priorities.
• Ensure DR, HA, and business continuity across environments.
• Maintain operational documentation and enablement across teams.
