Job summary

Stellarus is seeking a Director of Performance Engineering and Test Automation to build automated performance and reliability validation systems across the platform.

You’ll define standards, tooling, and tests for distributed, cloud-native services and partner with engineering teams to improve quality, speed, and signal. The role emphasizes observability, automation, and production readiness in a hybrid in-office model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years in software/quality/performance engineering or related fields.
• 6+ years leading teams or programs focused on performance, reliability, or production readiness.
• Hands-on experience building automated test systems and performance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy and implementation for performance testing, load testing, and reliability validation.
• Define standards, tooling, and expectations for teams designing, building, testing, and operating services.
• Lead AI-assisted engineering tooling and CI/CD quality gates for release readiness.
• Collaborate with engineers at code, architecture, and operations levels.
• Develop synthetic workloads, test data strategies, and production-like environments.
