Job summary

Stellarus is seeking a Director, Performance Engineering and Test Automation to lead automated performance and reliability validation across the platform. You will define standards, tooling, and release gates with developers to ensure production readiness and data-driven quality.

You will own strategy for performance testing, load testing, synthetic monitoring, and test data automation, partnering with engineering teams to raise quality, speed, and signal through AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma with 4+ years of equivalent experience.
10+ years in software/quality/performance engineering or related roles.
6+ years leading teams or programs focused on performance, reliability, or production readiness.
Hands-on background building automated test systems and performance pipelines.
Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native apps.
Understanding of latency, concurrency, caching, database performance, and failure modes.
Experience with CI/CD integration of automated tests.
Interest in AI-assisted testing and engineering tooling.

Responsibilities

Define and lead automated performance and reliability validation across Stellarus platform.
Own strategy and tooling for performance testing, load testing, and synthetic monitoring.
Collaborate with developers to set standards and release gates for production readiness.
Build and evolve testing pipelines and observability tooling.
Drive AI-assisted test generation, failure analysis, and automation within engineering workflows.
Communicate performance risk clearly and translate findings into actionable engineering changes.
