Job summary

Stellarus seeks a Director of Performance Engineering and Test Automation to define and run automated performance, load, and reliability validation across the platform. You will partner with development teams to establish standards, tooling, and production readiness gates, guiding AI-assisted approaches and observability-driven quality.

The role combines performance engineering, automation, and platform quality, with leadership responsibilities to scale teams and foster continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience as a substitute.
• 10 years of software/quality/performance engineering or related tech experience.
• 6 years leading teams or programs in performance and reliability.
• Hands-on with automated test systems and load frameworks.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native apps.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy for performance testing, load testing, and release gates.
• Build automated test pipelines and reliability tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers to set standards and tooling across teams.
• Advance observability, synthetic monitoring, and production readiness.
