Job summary

CFS in Somerville, MA is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to own people infrastructure and partner with leaders as the company scales. You will manage HRIS, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and HR operations, while guiding and developing an HR team as the organization grows.

The role requires 5+ years in HR with hands-on HRIS experience (Rippling preferred), strong knowledge of multi-state employment laws, and excellent communication across all levels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR generalist or HR operations experience.
• Hands-on HRIS experience; Rippling experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of employment law and multi-state HR compliance.
• Experience managing benefits administration and broker partnerships.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels.
• Highly organized and self-directed with sound judgment.
• SHRM or HCI certification preferred.
• High-growth startup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and HR-related matters.
• Own and maintain the HRIS, including employee records, data accuracy, and personnel files.
• Manage benefits administration, broker relationships, employee education, and open enrollment.
• Ensure compliance with multi-state employment laws, required postings, recordkeeping, and audits.
• Guide managers on employee relations matters including performance issues, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns.
• Own the employee offboarding process from start to finish.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless transition from recruiting through onboarding.
• Manage HR vendors and consultants supporting the organization.
• Strengthen and scale HR operations programs, policies, and processes as the company grows.
