Job summary

Justworks seeks a General Manager & Director, Commercial Strategy to own the Payroll business line and drive revenue, margin, and growth in a cross-functional setting. You’ll shape pricing, packaging, and go-to-market decisions while aligning product and operations with the financial plan.

You will report to a leader in the CMO organization and lead initiatives across Marketing, Technology, Operations, and Finance to scale the business with accountability and rigor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience owning a business line, P&L, or comparable end-to-end commercial outcome.
• Demonstrated experience as a co-founder, General Manager, DRI or business owner—personally accountable for revenue, margin, or growth.
• Experience in SaaS, fintech, B2B services, or other regulated environments preferred.
• High business and financial acumen; fluency with P&L, unit economics, LTV/CAC, ARPC, and pricing strategies.
• Executive presence to represent a business line in leadership forums and drive cross-functional impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the Payroll business and financial outcomes, accountable for revenue, expansion, and margin.
• Set commercial strategy to scale customer acquisition across ICP and channels.
• Lead monetization, packaging, and expansion with pricing decisions and new services.
• Drive cross-functional execution across Marketing, Technology, Operations, Product, Finance, Revenue, and Risk & Insurance.
• Represent Payroll in leadership forums with data-driven, financially grounded storytelling.
• Build and maintain operating systems to keep partners and stakeholders aligned.
