Job summary

Zions Bancorporation seeks an accomplished Director of Payments and Commercial Technology to lead the architecture and delivery of its commercial banking and payments platforms. You will partner with senior executives to align roadmaps with revenue growth, risk management, and customer experience.

The role focuses on modernizing payments rails, real-time capabilities, and cloud-native engineering while ensuring high availability and regulatory compliance in a complex financial services

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive technology experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of US payment rails and ISO 20022 messaging.
• Experience leading large-scale modernization and cloud-native architectures.
• Executive communication and stakeholder management with C-suite and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive strategic technology roadmap for commercial banking and payments ecosystems.
• Provide governance across engineering delivery, solution design and core integrations.
• Ensure 24x7x365 availability, regulatory compliance, and security across platforms.
• Lead, mentor, and scale engineering teams toward high accountability and technical excellence.
