Job summary

Regeneron is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Commercial Insights and Analytics Ophthalmology team. This on-site role reports to the VP of CSI&A, guiding analytics, insights and competitive intelligence for the Ophthalmology CBU at Regeneron.

The position requires deep pharma/biotech commercial experience, strategic thinking and strong leadership, with on-site work in Sleepy Hollow, NY or Warren, NJ.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience, in roles of increasing accountability; prior experience with buy-and-bill brands in highly competitive markets is required
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in data science, public health, statistics, engineering, or a related field (MBA, MPH, MS preferred)
• Functional expertise in business analytics, customer insights, analog forecast development, market access, and competitive intelligence
• Prior experience managing I&A groups with responsibility for analytics, customer insights, market access analytics, and competitive intelligence
• Proven ability to influence, communicate and negotiate with all levels of management across functional and business unit boundaries
• Extensive experience with managing numerous projects concurrently against stringent deadlines
• Ophthalmology disease category experience is strongly desired

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the CSI&A Ophthalmology team in providing business analytics, customer insights and competitive intelligence to deliver rich insights to solve key business problems
• Set the strategic I&A direction that aligns with CBU priorities and helps drive launch excellence
• Serve as a member of the Ophthalmology CBU Leadership Team, providing I&A expertise
• Serve as a member of the CSI&A leadership team to drive cross-commercial innovation and best-in-class delivery
• Translate complex analyses into compelling insights and recommendations that will be used to inform business decision-making for senior Regeneron teams, including the CBU, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors
• Develop people from both a functional skills and leadership perspective, with the goal of growing internal talent
• Assess and implement novel methodologies and frameworks to garner meaningful insights to inform brand differentiation, market growth and business impact; and consider business potential for pipeline products
• Collaborate with the Ophthalmology CBU and other members of senior leadership to contribute to ongoing brand strategies and decisions, including long-term data, analytics and insights roadmap
• Develop and maintain a mutually beneficial partnership with CBU stakeholders; ensure insight generation and feedback are embraced; strike a balance between project rigor, timelines and ability to influence decisions
• Lead efforts to identify and crystalize insights that inform strategic plans for the Ophthalmology CBU
• Work with other CSI&A leads to develop standardized adoption of capabilities such as marketing mix, promotional optimization, data science, market structure analyses, patient/treatment flow modeling, analog modeling and ML/AI methodologies across I&A
