Job summary

Active Security Consulting LLC is seeking a Director of Operations in Sterling, VA. The role leads the operations organization, delivering security integration projects and service programs on time, within budget, and to customer standards.

You will translate company goals into operational plans, manage financial performance, and ensure safety and contract compliance while collaborating with executive leadership and Business Development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in operations, project delivery, or field services with 5+ years in management.
• Extensive experience in security/tech integration with DoD or federal customers.
• Proven track record of scaling operations and delivering complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Set operational strategy, goals, and annual plans across delivery, service, and field operations.
• Mentor and develop operations managers and coordinators; build a leadership bench.
• Own budgets, forecasting, project margins, labor utilization, and cash flow.
• Define KPIs and dashboards for executive visibility and accountability.
• Plan workforce capacity and hiring to match backlog and pipeline.
