You will oversee cash and suspense reconciliation, aging, exposure monitoring, and related processes in collaboration with Finance, Risk, and Internal Controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 12+ years of experience in insurance accounting or financial services
• Experience leading suspense cleanup and reconciliation improvements
• Strong management and leadership experience
• Knowledge of accounting standards and internal controls

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead an operational accounting center of excellence to drive consistent execution, accountability, governance, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of accounting and financial reporting information, focusing on cash activity and reconciliation quality.
• Drive disciplined monitoring of cash and suspense reconciliation open items, including aging and exposure.
• Identify operational gaps and control weaknesses and coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
• Lead hiring, coaching, and performance management of staff; align goals with business priorities.
