Job Title: Associate Director, Global Medical Publications

- Occasional onsite visits / domestic travel may be required
- Strongly encouraged onsite presence during initial onboarding/training
Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Global Medical Publications is responsible for leading the development, execution, and governance of global medical publication strategies. This role serves as a subject matter expert in scientific publications and ensures compliant, high-quality, and timely dissemination of scientific data.
The position partners cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Compliance, and external vendors to drive alignment with enterprise objectives and ensure successful publication delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MS, or equivalent preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in:
- Pharmaceutical industry OR
- Medical communications agency OR equivalent
- At least 3+ years of hands‑on experience in scientific publications
- Strong knowledge of:
- GPP (Good Publication Practice)
- ICMJE guidelines
- Proven experience managing vendors and budgets
- Experience in a global, cross‑functional matrix environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CMPP (ISMPP) certification or equivalent
- Experience with publication management systems and dashboards
- Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
- Experience working with global affiliates and external authors / KOLs
