Job summary

Siemens Mobility in the United States is seeking a Project Office Head for Manufacturing Capacity Expansion in the Raleigh area of North Carolina. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or related STEM field.
• 5+ years leading complex industrial launches, startups, expansions, or integration projects.
• Experience managing salaried professionals, hiring, workload allocation, and KPI discussions.
• Proficient in project portfolio management with integrated schedules and risk controls.
• Experience budgeting, capital expenditures, and supplier commitments.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority; concise exec updates.
• Willingness to work on site during critical execution phases and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of manufacturing capacity expansion, plant startup, and integration projects.
• Direct hiring, objective setting, and performance discussions for project teams.
• Coordinate R&D, product development, operations, supply chain, and facilities.
• Build integrated project plans covering equipment specs, testing, and ramp-up.
• Direct budgets, capex, Opex, and resource loading with risk mitigation.
• Provide concise executive status reports and decision-ready updates.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and timely launch outcomes across sites.
