Job summary

National Life Group seeks a Head of Life Insurance Pricing to lead pricing strategy, governance, and execution for the Life Insurance portfolio. You will guide actuarial expertise, drive pricing methodologies, and influence senior leadership on profitability and risk.

The role emphasizes collaboration across product, underwriting, finance, and compliance while building high-performing teams. This onsite role requires four in-office days per week (Mon–Thu core days) with potential schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
• FSA designation.
• 12–15+ years actuarial experience in life insurance.
• Experience in life pricing or product development.
• Strong knowledge of Individual Life products (Indexed UL, Term, Whole Life).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of pricing strategy for the Individual Life portfolio.
• Establish pricing and risk assessment approaches balancing growth, profitability, and capital efficiency.
• Provide actuarial leadership for pricing and performance reviews.
• Manage pricing assumptions, modeling efforts, and processes.
• Identify repricing actions and portfolio optimization opportunities.
• Advance pricing capabilities with data analytics and predictive modeling.
• Partner with underwriting to improve risk selection and pricing methods.
• Maintain pricing governance and compliance with standards and policies.
• Advise senior leadership on strategy, profitability, risk, and capital considerations.
• Develop and mentor pricing actuaries and analysts.
