Pacific Life Insurance Company is seeking an Actuary & Director to join the Life Pricing team. The role focuses on leading product pricing initiatives and guiding development of life insurance products.

You will collaborate with Pricing, Product Development, Risk Management, Modeling, and Sales within the Consumer Market Division and across the enterprise, driving growth and long-term success.

Qualifications

• FSA with 10+ years of related experience in actuarial pricing and product development.
• Direct experience developing life insurance products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong management, team-building, and communication skills.
• Excellent project management and business partnering abilities.
• Proven leadership with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to understand the big picture and mobilize initiatives in ambiguous situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop pricing team; oversee pricing activities with high-quality deliverables.
• Drive product pricing, support implementation, and manage project plans.
• Monitor regulatory changes and pricing or risk developments affecting products.
• Ensure pricing-driven product development meets regulatory and governance standards.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, risk, legal, and ops to balance price, profitability, and risk.
• Mentor staff and provide development guidance.
