Job summary

National Life Group seeks a senior pricing leader with deep life insurance pricing and actuarial expertise. You will shape pricing strategy across the Life portfolio, partner with underwriting and finance, and lead the Life Pricing team.

Expect strong succession potential to lead Life Product functions and to influence senior leadership on profitability, risk management, and capital decisions. The role requires partnering across departments, advancing pricing methodologies, and shepherding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
• FSA designation or equivalent required.
• 12–15+ years actuarial experience in life insurance.
• Experience in life pricing or product development.
• Strong knowledge of Indexed UL, Term and Whole Life products.
• Familiarity with US Stat, GAAP, and tax standards.
• Proven ability to build and evaluate pricing models.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of pricing strategy for Individual Life portfolio.
• Establish pricing and risk assessment approaches balancing growth and profitability.
• Provide actuarial leadership for pricing development and performance reviews.
• Oversee life pricing assumptions, modeling, and processes.
• Identify repricing actions and portfolio optimization opportunities.
• Advance pricing capabilities with data analytics and predictive modeling.
• Collaborate with underwriting on risk-selection and pricing methods.
• Maintain pricing governance and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership to pricing actuaries and analysts.
• Build enterprise partnerships and align pricing with corporate objectives.
• Mentor and develop actuarial teams to high standards.
