Job summary

Ratehub is seeking a senior leader to build and run CanWise Lending Operations, Ratehub's CMHC-approved mortgage lender. The role oversees underwriting, servicing, regulatory compliance, and cost management across Canada, reporting to the CEO and partnering with senior teams across Ratehub.

The candidate will design the end-to-end operating model, lead technical platform implementations, and ensure scalable, compliant processes with strong governance, risk controls, and executive reporting.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in lending or financial services with leadership across underwriting, servicing and operations.
• Experience building and scaling lending operations, ideally in mortgage lending or fintech.
• End-to-end ownership of operating function from strategy to implementation and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage underwriting, servicing, policy design and risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead CanWise lending operations end-to-end from underwriting to servicing.
• Define policies, workflows, and service standards for compliant operations.
• Select and implement lending platforms and technology infrastructure.
• Lead organizational design, hiring, and performance management of underwriting, servicing and ops teams.
• Establish regulatory licensing, FINTRAC/AML controls and KYC procedures across Canada.
• Manage funder relationships, SLAs and reporting with lenders and partners.
• Develop default management processes for arrears and collections.
• Set KPIs, SLAs and continuous improvement for operational performance.
• Oversee the CanWise lending P&L and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with Ratehub leadership across Product, Tech, Risk and Legal.
