Job summary

Sword Health is seeking a Head of Legal Operations to scale the legal tech stack and drive strategic operations across the company. You will own the technology ecosystem, embedding AI and automation to accelerate decision-making and improve efficiency across Legal and related teams.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong project management, and the ability to partner with attorneys, IT, and business leaders to deliver scalable solutions in a fast-growth healthcare technology environment.

Qualifications

8+ years in legal operations, legal tech, or related fields.
Experience owning, implementing, and optimizing enterprise legal tech platforms such as CLM.
Proven ability to design scalable workflows and drive operational best practices.
Experience evaluating AI-enabled tools and automation within legal operations.
Demonstrated independent ownership and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Own and optimize the Legal department's technology ecosystem and CLM, matter management, and workflows.
Lead a scalable AI/automation roadmap for legal ops and budget planning.
Manage evaluations, integrations, vendor selections, configurations, and ongoing improvement.
Partner with Legal, Commercial, Finance, IT, and operations to deploy secure tech solutions.
Mentor and develop the Legal operations team and foster a culture of excellence.
