Job summary

AMH is seeking a Director, Land Development to lead residential lot development from due diligence through permitting, budgeting, scheduling, and on-site management. The role requires coordinating with design consultants, vendors, and municipal authorities to ensure timely, on-budget project delivery.

Candidates should have 5+ years in land development and 3+ years in a supervisory role, with strong planning, communication, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or Construction Management preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in land development design and/or land development.
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience managing direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Establish, manage, and maintain accurate development schedules and budgets.
• Select and manage trade partners to execute development work to specifications.
• Partner with Land Acquisition team in building accurate development budgets/executive summaries.
• Travel between job sites to inspect progress and validate work.
• Communicate with vendors, internal customers/market team, and municipal supervisors.
