Job summary

Johnson & Johnson seeks an Associate Director, Laboratory Automation Systems for Spring House, PA. You will lead the laboratory automation platform organization, driving blended automation programs across discovery and analytical workflows.

In this role, you will own portfolio governance, KPIs, and lifecycle ownership, while coordinating with scientists, engineers, IT, and external partners to deliver standardized, scalable automation across multi-workcell environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in laboratory automation or related discovery automation.
• Proven leadership of scientists, engineers, and vendors through complex programs.
• Strong executive communication, prioritization, partner management, change management skills.
• Experience with governance, KPIs, and platform lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the laboratory automation platform organization.
• Own portfolio governance, backlog, and KPIs.
• Drive design, qualification, and lifecycle support of automated workcells.
