Job summary

Alchemy is seeking a hands-on IT leader to build and run the business systems that help the company operate. You'll own enterprise applications and their integrations, manage the IT team, and drive AI-enabled workflows across departments.

This player-coach role is hybrid and based in San Francisco or New York. You will configure apps, write integrations, train engineers, and ensure reliable day-to-day IT service while advancing automation and secure access.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering enterprise SaaS apps and building integrations.
• Experience managing technical staff, including coaching, prioritization, hiring, and performance management.
• Ability to build and debug with APIs, scripting, and workflow platforms such as n8n or Okta Workflows.
• Evidence of shipping AI-enabled workflows that others use and benefit from.
• Experience helping teams adopt new tools and working practices.

Responsibilities

• Own business applications. Manage Salesforce and connected tools; partner with owners on config and data quality.
• Build across systems. Create API integrations, scripts, and workflows; ensure testing and monitoring.
• Redesign work around AI. Identify workflows to rebuild; deliver agents and automations with proper review processes.
• Manage the IT team. Set priorities, mentor engineers, hire, and balance service with projects.
• Raise AI capability. Develop shared tools and runbooks; promote AI-assisted building in delivery.
• Keep IT service reliable. Oversee onboarding/offboarding, escalations, and service desk coverage.
• Own the application roadmap and spend. Evaluate tools and vendor relationships; measure reliability and adoption.
