Paper Transport, Inc. seeks a hands-on Head of Human Resources at its De Pere, WI headquarters to own the company’s people strategy.

You will recruit, onboard, train, and develop talent while collaborating with the CEO and ELT to drive faster hiring, lower turnover and stronger leadership across the Midwest and Southeast. You’ll lead a team, design compensation and benefits programs, enhance onboarding, and deploy AI-driven HR tools to increase speed, quality and cost efficiency in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience leading an HR team or function in a multi-site organization.
• Experience in multi-site orgs with frontline/hourly workforce (transportation/logistics/manufacturing).
• Proven success building HR processes that improve hiring, retention or performance with measurable results.
• Track record of hiring and developing high-performing HR talent.
• Knowledge of compensation design, benefits strategy and broker management.
• Proficiency with HR metrics and analytics showing impact on business results.
• Knowledge of multi-state employment law and employee relations best practice.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools and modern HR technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR functions including talent acquisition, performance management and learning.
• Partner with CFO/CEO/ELT to align people strategy with growth.
• Develop and lead a high-performing HR team with clear service standards.
• Design fast, structured recruitment processes for leadership roles.
• Strengthen employer brand in regional communities (Northeast Wisconsin).
• Collaborate with Driver Recruiting, Operations and Safety on retention and onboarding.
• Own company-wide onboarding with time-to-productivity targets.
• Implement a data-driven talent review process for leadership development.
