Job summary

Whitecap Search is seeking an experienced leader to oversee and enhance our HR operations. You will ensure compliant, efficient HR processes across the full employee lifecycle and partner with the VP of HR to drive operational excellence.

You will administer Paycor HRIS, manage benefits and compliance, and develop HR metrics to support data-driven decisions across domestic and international populations. This role requires strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in HR operations, HRIS, or generalist roles with strong operational focus.
• Deep expertise with HRIS platforms; Paycor experience strongly preferred; multi-state and international HR ops experience.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to articulate HR data in financial terms (EBITDA impact, productivity metrics).
• Experience in a lean, fast-paced corporate structure with hands-on implementation.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize end-to-end HR operations across onboarding, offboarding, changes, leaves, and records management for domestic and international populations.
• Serve as primary administrator for Paycor; manage configuration, data integrity, reporting, and integrations with payroll and benefits.
• Manage benefits administration including open enrollment, vendor relationships, and communications; ensure compliance.
• Ensure HR compliance across federal, state, and international jurisdictions; lead audits and policy updates with Legal and VP of HR.
• Develop and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reporting; coach and develop the HR operations team.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and compliant functioning of HR processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the VP of HR and the broader people team to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and compliant functioning of HR processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the VP of HR and the broader people team to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

• Own and optimize end-to-end HR operations processes across the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, leave administration, and records management; ensure all processes are efficient, compliant, and consistently applied across domestic and international employee populations.
• Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the HRIS (Paycor); manage system configuration, data integrity, reporting, and integrations with payroll, benefits, and other people systems; lead system enhancements and implementation of new modules or tools.
• Manage benefits administration including open enrollment, vendor relationships, invoice reconciliation, and employee communications; partner with Finance and legal counsel to ensure benefits programs are compliant and competitive.
• Ensure HR compliance across federal, state, and international jurisdictions; maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law changes; manage audits, required filings, and policy updates in partnership with Legal and the VP of HR.
• Develop and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reporting to support data-driven decision-making; manage the HR operations team and provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; 10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in an HR operations, HRIS, or generalist role with a strong operational focus.
• Deep expertise with HRIS platforms; hands-on Paycor experience strongly preferred; experience managing multi-state and/or international HR operations.
• Financial & Data Literacy: Strong business acumen with the ability to articulate HR data in financial terms (EBITDA impact, productivity metrics, and cost optimization).
• Agility & Execution: Experience operating effectively in a lean, fast-paced corporate structure where you are comfortable pivoting from high-level board strategy to hands-on implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of US employment law and HR compliance requirements; familiarity with international employment practices a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; excellent communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach to supporting employees and managers.
• Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field required. Master's degree, MBA, or SPHR/GPHR certifications are a significant plus.
