Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner leader to guide a team of four HR Business Partners serving an 1800+ employee population. You will partner with senior executives to shape talent strategy, leadership development, succession planning, and workforce initiatives.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, policy design, and strategic HR programs across compensation, benefits, and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Leadership and motivation of a team delivering HR services
• Ability to coach executives, managers and staff
• Strong client relationship building across levels
• Consulting, influencing, conflict resolution and problem solving
• Knowledge of core HR disciplines: relations, compensation, benefits, laws
• Ability to analyze information to drive insights
• Adaptability to changing priorities and multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Manage 4 HR Business Partners
• Support an 1800+ employee population
• Interact with executives (SVP and above)
• Designs and drives policy and program implementation
• Partner with leadership to address talent needs, recruiting, retention, succession
• Provide data insights to leaders for better decisions
• Act as a student of the utility industry and HR discipline
• Foster professional excellence, teamwork, client satisfaction and growth
• Collaborate with Corporate Partners and HR Delivery teams
• Develop and guide a team of HR Business Partners
• Anticipate business needs and build client solutions
