Job summary

Hawaii Medical Service Association is seeking an enterprise-wide leader for data analytics and AI across HR. You will consolidate disparate HR data sources into a unified reporting framework, delivering actionable intelligence for business consumption at all levels of the organization.

Lead the analytics team, govern responsible AI deployment, and partner with HR and business leadership to drive talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, and equitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years progressive experience in data analytics, people analytics, or workforce intelligence; healthcare/insurance preferred.
• Five years hands-on experience with analytics tools and techniques: SQL, Python or R, BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent), and cloud data platforms.
• Three years building or managing data/analytics teams.
• Experience developing or operationalizing predictive or machine learning models in production environments.
• Experience with HR systems and people data (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or equivalent HRIS/HCM platforms).
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead HR analytics and AI initiatives across all HR functions, defining an enterprise roadmap from descriptive to prescriptive analytics.
• Oversee AI and advanced analytics development, including predictive attrition, skills gap analysis, and generative AI tools with governance.
• Own HR analytics data infrastructure and consolidate HR data sources into a unified reporting framework with standardized dashboards.
• Deliver workforce insights on planning, succession risk, skills inventory, and wellbeing analytics in collaboration with Finance and Clinical Ops.
• Act as primary contact for HR analytics and AI, translating needs into standardized reports and insights for executives and managers.
• Develop and retain a high-performing analytics team, fostering AI fluency and continuous learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or related analytical field
