Job summary

Canopy by Hilton New York 34th Street is seeking a seasoned Director of Housekeeping to lead pre-opening housekeeping for our flagship NYC hotel. You will build the department from the ground up, recruit and develop the team, establish standards, and ensure readiness for opening while delivering Canopy’s guest-centric brand experience.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, guest room standards, and inventory control.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse housekeeping team.
• Experience managing budgets, labor, and vendor relationships in a large hotel.

Responsibilities

• Lead all housekeeping-related pre-opening activities and ensure readiness for hotel opening.
• Direct daily housekeeping operations including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, checklists, inspections, and productivity standards.
• Coordinate the release and readiness of 365 guest rooms prior to opening.
• Partner with Human Resources to recruit, onboard, and train housekeeping leadership and team members.
