Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and staff areas are impeccably maintained. You will direct a team, monitor compliance with standards, and drive improvements in guest satisfaction and financial performance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 3 years of housekeeping experience, or a 2-year degree with 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years’ experience in housekeeping or related professional area.
• OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 3 years’ experience in housekeeping or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Hire, discharge, plan, organize, and control all phases of the Housekeeping Department, reports directly to the General Manager of the property.
• Ensure compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures; educate staff on details and follow up to ensure understanding.
• Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs and financial objectives; assign work accordingly.
• Inspect guestrooms and public spaces; manage stock and supplies to maintain operations within budget.
• Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations; conduct employee performance feedback and discipline when necessary.
