Job summary

Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District is seeking a Chief of Maintenance to lead the maintenance team at our Savannah location. You will oversee daily operations, safety programs, and preventative maintenance to ensure guest comfort and property standards.

We value hands-on leadership, strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and a track record of managing facilities in a hotel environment. This role requires long hours and a proactive, service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree plus 1 year of related management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, motivate, counsel and recognize the maintenance staff at each hotel.
• Oversee daily operations, sustainability programs, inventory, ordering, and scheduling within budget.
• Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance in all hotel areas and inspect work for quality.
• Troubleshoot devices such as key card systems, internet equipment, TV equipment, etc.
• Oversee safety programs and key control at each hotel.
• Greet and assist guests with requests; build loyalty with long-term and repeat guests.
• Support hotel goals through teamwork across departments.
