Job summary

E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences in Miami seeks an Engineering Manager to drive flawless operation of the property infrastructure, upholding luxury and performance standards. You will lead the engineering department daily, ensuring safety, reliability, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include budgeting, preventive maintenance, vendor management, and energy-efficiency initiatives, with a focus on compliance and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• Stationary Engineer’s license if required by local regulations.
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently.
• Proven leadership, task prioritization, and project management under deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with service orientation.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily engineering operations maintaining safety and performance.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulations including ADA.
• Lead and train engineering staff in safety and SOPs.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Monitor life safety systems and brand-standard inspections.
• Drive energy conservation and sustainability programs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and alarms promptly.
• Review guest feedback and resolve engineering concerns.
• Manage vendor contracts and oversee renovations.
• Participate in safety committees and property programs.
