Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Abilene, part of Oceans Healthcare, seeks a Director of Plant Operations to lead facility maintenance, safety, and support services across the hospital campus. You will oversee life safety, housekeeping, and compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Facilities Management.
• Experience in management/supervision of a Plant Operations Department including EVS, Security, Grounds, Biomed, etc.
• Knowledge of facility buildings, equipment, and utilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; College degree in Engineering preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions; strong mathematics and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee the Plant Operations Program covering facility maintenance, life safety, and housekeeping.
• Inspect facilities and maintain maintenance records; coordinate with Corporate Plant Operations Director for audits/training.
• Lead bids and coordinate repairs/replacements with outside vendors.
• Oversee Plant Operations staff and ensure safe, compliant operations; partner with Environment of Care Director on safety and training.
• Act as Hospital Safety Officer alongside Environment of Care Director; prepare recommendations for leadership.
