DoorDash Labs in San Francisco seeks a Senior Director of Hardware and Vehicle Development to own the full hardware lifecycle—from detailed product engineering through volume manufacturing and field service. You will build a scalable hardware organization with clear milestones and a path to robot profitability.

Within 90 days you will deeply embed with engineering and manufacturing teams, lead the selection of a contract manufacturing partner, and develop a lean hiring plan to fill key gaps,

Formación

• 15+ years in hardware, automotive, or related field.
• 4-5+ years leading a hardware organization at senior director or VP level.
• Proven ability to scale hardware teams and manage contract manufacturers.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end hardware, including engineering, manufacturing, and field service.
• Build the hardware organization from the ground up.
• Partner with autonomy, product, and operations teams to translate requirements into hardware and manufacturing decisions.
• Drive profitability through cost reduction and efficiency, aiming for robot profitability.
• Set the roadmap and be accountable for outcomes in a fast-moving program.
