Job summary

Pura is seeking a VP of Hardware Engineering to lead the Mechanical, Electrical, and Firmware teams, owning the technical vision for all connected diffuser products from prototype to millions in Owners’ homes.

You will partner with CM/EMS and external engineers, guide EVT/DVT/PVT stages, and drive cost, quality, and schedule targets while expanding a high‑performing hardware organization.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hardware engineering experience and 5+ years leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record taking connected consumer hardware from concept to mass production.
• Experience managing hardware budgets, NRE investments, and BOM cost targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hardware organization: direct R&D, Mechanical, Electrical, and Firmware teams and set strategy across diffuser products.
• Own contract manufacturing partnerships and integrate them as extensions of the internal team.
• Drive new product introduction from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT to mass production.
• Establish testing, validation, and field quality processes for reliability across millions of units.
• Manage supply chain risk with sourcing, operations and manufacturing teams.
• Build and retain top hardware talent and shape the org as Pura scales.
• Own budget and multi-year hardware roadmap with Strategy, Product and Exec teams.
