Job summary

Helion Energy in Everett, WA is seeking a senior leader to drive the operation of fusion power generators and future machine deployments. You will define the roadmap for commissioning, testing, and safely operating next-generation fusion plants, building the teams and processes to accelerate progress.

You will guide a cross-disciplinary team of operators and engineers, champion rapid iteration, and align research, engineering, and production to data-informed decisions shaping the next generation

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or physics.
• 10+ years in test ops, R&D, or systems engineering leadership.
• 7+ years leading large, complex programs.
• Experience commissioning large-scale machines.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term strategy for future machine commissioning and testing capabilities.
• Accelerate fusion development with rapid iteration and data-driven methods.
• Lead and grow a cross-disciplinary team of operators and engineers.
• Shape operation campaigns with cross-functional teams on multimillion-dollar projects.
• Drive cross-functional alignment to enable data-informed design decisions.
