Job summary

Metro Bus is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Minnesota to lead maintenance systems, oversee process improvements, and manage all vehicle and facility maintenance. The role supervises Maintenance Supervisors and Facilities Maintenance Specialist and interfaces with the Chief Operations Officer.

Essential duties include coordinating maintenance needs, administering a preventative maintenance program, and developing fleet benchmarks.

Qualifications

Four-year degree in engineering, business administration or related field.
Five years of management and supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Class B Minnesota Driver License with passenger and air brake endorsements and DOT medical certification.
Experience with heavy duty vehicle maintenance and fleet maintenance software.
Ability to read and speak English well enough to read technical documents and communicate with team members.

Responsibilities

Coordinate maintenance needs of all Metro Bus property and equipment.
Administer a comprehensive preventative maintenance inspection and repair program for vehicles, support equipment, facilities, diesel and CNG fueling and monitoring stations, and grounds.
Develop and monitor preventative maintenance intervals, checklists, replacement parts, and fluids.
Develop benchmarks on fleet performance and ensure maintenance records are properly documented.
Monitor compliance with warranties and assist with post-warranty settlements.
