Job summary

Foundation Health is a high-growth AI-powered healthcare platform seeking a Head of Finance to build and scale the finance function from the ground up. You will partner with the CEO to drive strategic capital allocation, forecasting, and reporting while implementing modern, scalable financial systems.

You will lead financial operations, ensure GAAP compliance, manage treasury and tax obligations, and provide leadership with clear, data-driven insights for growth and fundraising.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment (ideally Series A to C) and experience with managing the finances in multinational organisations.
• Strong grasp of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and modern finance tools.
• Ability to act as a commercial partner to the CEO, owning financial inputs into pricing, deal structuring, and revenue strategy, expansion, and fundraising strategy.
• Location: Remote (US-based).

Responsibilities

• Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning including runway and growth scenarios.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and cash flow management.
• Own monthly board packs and financial reporting with actionable leadership insights.
• Partner with the CEO in board and investor interactions; provide clear financial narrative.
• Evolve the finance tech stack and manage US federal/state tax obligations with external vendors.
• Build visibility into core financial metrics, including unit economics and margins.
• Scale the finance function over time through hiring and development of the team.
• Establish financial controls, risk management frameworks, and audit readiness.
